Chapter 841
Chapter 841:.
“You better not regret what you said,” Theresa said. She worried that things would go back to the way they were once Armand’s grandmother woke up.
Armand hugged Theresa and said, “I won’t” And he’ll prove it to Theresa.
“Come take a nap in my arms,” Armand caressed Theresa’s face, but she pushed his hands away. She didn’t like it when Armand made a fool of himself no matter what the occasion.
Armand acted like he was in pain as he pretended Theresa had touched his wound. Theresa immediately gave the impression that she was nervous, “Did I touch your wounds?”
“Yes,” nodded Armand.
Theresa felt guilty since it was because of her that Armand had been injured. He needed more than ten stitches to seal his wound. How was it going to heal in only two days?
“Come, let me take a look.”
Theresa wanted to see if Armand was still bleeding.
Armand said, “I’m fine. Let me lean on you.”
Theresa was quick to notice, “You’re faking it?”
Armand quickly shook his head, “No, my wound is here, why would I fake it?”.
“Did I touch your wound?” Theresa purposely pressed Armand’s wound. This time it really hurt. Armand moaned a little.
Theresa didn’t press too hard. She scolded Armand a little, “Lie to me again and you will die of pain.”
Armand leaned against Theresa’s shoulder, “Would you leave me?”
“Why not, I wanted you dead,” Theresa purposely replied rudely and unreasonably.
Armand laughed and whispered to Theresa, “I would die at your hands.”
Theresa glared at Armand with a glare, “Why can’t you stop joking around?” Armand blinked and said, “Fine. Then I’ll go back to sleep.”
Armand was telling the truth. Why did Theresa think he was joking?
Well, since Theresa didn’t like him, then he could go back to sleep.
Theresa nodded and said, “Sleep.”
Armand and Theresa arrived in C-Town three hours later. Oscar had received Theresa’s call earlier, and he knew she was returning to C-Town today. So he waited for Theresa in the arrivals lounge long before her flight arrived.noveldrama
Oscar wasn’t wearing the colorful shirt he usually wore every day. He even had less than three colors in his entire outfit. It was a minimalist look for Oscar.
Oscar was stunned when he saw Theresa and Armand walking out of the arrivals lounge together. Theresa told him she was getting a divorce when he left. It was the second time Theresa and Armand had split up. Oscar thought Theresa and Armand were breaking up for good. He didn’t expect to see Theresa and Armand get back together in C-Town.
Oscar would never let Theresa know he had feelings for her if Theresa didn’t tell him she was divorcing Armand.
After all, Oscar was much older than Theresa.
Oscar was a little lost.
“Uncle,” Theresa greeted Oscar when she saw him standing in the doorway.
Oscar hid his embarrassment with a cough, then smiled at Theresa, “You’re back.”
Maybe it was Armand’s sixth sense. He sensed that Oscar was uncomfortable.
Maybe Theresa was the reason.
Armand had doubts that Oscar might have had something with Theresa before. Now he confirmed his doubts.
“Uncle,” Armand extended his hand, “Thank you for taking care of Theresa when she was here.”
Oscar shook Armand’s hand, “It’s my job as an elder.”
“I have to thank you for helping me take care of her,” Armand emphasized the word “helping me.”
“The car is outside. Let’s go,” Oscar stepped in front of Theresa and Armand.
Armand grabbed Theresa’s hand and followed Oscar.
“Why are you holding my hand so tightly?” Theresa wanted to pull her hand out of Armand’s.
Armand did so unconsciously. He was afraid someone would take Theresa away from him. He loosened up and apologized, “I didn’t do it on purpose.”
Armand helped put their luggage in the trunk when they reached the car.
Theresa was already sitting in the car when Armand got in.
Oscar said, “Let’s get something to eat.”
“Sure,” Theresa replied, “You have good taste in choosing restaurants.”
And that’s because Oscar always took Theresa to good restaurants when he was here before.
“Hey man, why aren’t you wearing your colorful t-shirt today?”. Theresa suddenly noticed what Oscar was wearing today. Oscar liked colorful shirts, but today he was wearing a white shirt and a gray casual coat.
Oscar gripped the steering wheel tightly, “I’ve changed my preference.”
Armand pretended not to see Oscar’s nervousness. He told Theresa he felt tired, then leaned on Theresa’s shoulder to rest.
Theresa didn’t realize what these two men were thinking. She continued,
“You’ve loved your colored shirts all your life, why the sudden change? I’ve been asking you for a long time to change your habit of wearing a colored shirt, but you’ve insisted. what’s the trigger?”
