Chapter 2229
Frank shook his head. "I don't get it either. Has there been any precedent?"
Peerless Jackt smiled wryly. "All I know is that the hero in the tomb murals was the only one who obtained the power of the Shagan spiritron vein before. It doesn't tell us anything else, and we could only make deductions according to those records.
"He must've been able to bestow that power upon others at will according to the murals, if it hasn't been altered before."
Frank nodded—with all said and done, the only thing that they got out of this was the fact that Peerless Jackt had no idea how to control the Shagan spiritron vein.
"Doesn't matter," he said. "Given the current situation, every legionnaire must stay away from Shagan. Stay safe in your respective locations."noveldrama
"But you're our master!" Peerless Jackt argued. "How could we allow you to face danger without doing anything about it? You've seen what I can do, and many of the legionnaires are on my level-we can beat those metahumans! Let us aid you!"
Frank shook his head. "I can deal with them alone, and it's a new era-no one is a slave to anyone's will. You're all free, and you're of no help if you can't take good care of yourselves."
Peerless Jackt did not press the issue at that point and changed the subject. "Well, you should at least sign the transfer agreement-don't worry, there won't be any issues. I've checked through the terms, and our people have infiltrated the Jarics' interests and businesses for a while to know how things are going.
"As for Pax... He refused to train in the martial arts and almost led us to our doom, but the boy is a fine businessman and made a lot of money."
Frank was left unsure how to react to that.
Vicky Turnbull had made sure his account was loaded when he came to Shagan just in case. Even before he used up that money, however, he had somehow acquired a major enterprise without really doing anything-not many would enjoy such luck, to be honest.
Peerless Jackt then pressed, "If you're not interested in the management side of things, that's fine too-I'll have people take care of it, and you just have to show up each week."
Frank nodded. "Then I'm counting on you. Also, remember to allow the legion a split of the profits. It probably won't be much, but it's a token of my sincerity and to ensure that everyone wouldn't have to scrape out a living."
Peerless Jackt was actually speechless-was Frank really the man chosen by the spiritron vein?
He proved himself a ferocious fighter, ready to dispatch Peerless Jackt as soon as he came and making it obvious he was special.
And over a thousand years, he had to be the first person to suggest providing employee benefits for the legion.
Even the Shagan spiritron vein did
not care about the Cerulean Summit Legion! Not only were they left to their own devices, but when they got desperate for money and sold the medicine that they were given, they would be penalized!
With such precedents, Peerless Jackt certainly did not expect such generosity from Frank!
At the same time, Frank continued,
"Also, are there any jobless
legionnaires? I'm giving you a
et
number, and tell the person that I'm asking for her to arrange for jobs for them salary rates are negotiable. Making a living is difficult, after all."
"No, it's alright!" Peerless Jackt exclaimed, worried that he was asking Frank for too much. "You've done more than enough! You don't have to go that
far!"
Frank laughed, as Peerless Jackt
clearly had no idea about his other identity and the connections he hað. "There's certain reasons why I can't give you all the facts, but believe me when I say that I have what it takes to take care of you."
Peerless Jackt was left flustered once more.
His family stood for a thousand years, ready to serve the next master of the Shagan spiritron vein.
What he did not expect was that he and the other legionnaires would trouble said master as soon as they met, and without anything to show for it. What the hell?!
Frank waved him off just then. "If there's nothing else, you can go now."
"Alright." Peerless Jackt nodded. "Here's my number-contact me anytime you need me. Our intelligencework is clandestine, so we have access to insider information within many entities."
"Good." Frank took the note and escorted Peerless Jackt out.
After Peerless Jackt left, Ida came up to Frank. "Master, who was that man, and what does he have to do with your ring?"
What do you think?
