Be Your Lover Forever (Alicia)

Chapter 1273

The two women bowed deferentially before scurrying away.

Willy reflexively looked over to Lexx, who had just checked his texts.

"I just got the news too! There's a girl about three or four years old in the lobby. Everyone said... she looks a lot like you! So..."

Because of the text, Lexx got more curious right then!

Willy turned and strode to the elevator, his brows locked into a deep furrow. "What's going on? What little girl? It can't be Cloud, can it? Could she have brought Fleur over but started talking nonsense when she can't come up?"

Because everyone was just as lost, Willy pressed the down button as soon as he entered the elevator, leaving Lexx and the other executives to dash down the stairs, making their way to the lobby.

Meanwhile, in the lobby, Yvette slouched in her seat still, taking out the snack in her bag, all bored. Right as she took a bite, some crumbs fell, and she bent over to pick them up.

Seeing so, the female assistant responsible for taking care of her grabbed some tissue hurriedly to help her clean up, but before she could even say anything, Yvette asked, "Lady, I'd like to come down, please!"

"Sure!"

After carrying her down, the female assistant offered softly, "Are you hungry? I have some cookies here!"

She actually handed her two individually wrapped cookies from god-knows-where as she spoke. But Yvette shook her head, not taking them. "Thank you, but I have my own!"

Yvette was evidently on guard as she held her snack close to her body.

"Are you thirsty then? Why don't I get you some water?"

Yvette shook her head again. Only then did the female assistant notice the little water bottle she had been carrying on her. "Then how about I open the bottle for you?"

Yvette nodded this time but quickly shook her head again. "I can do it myself! Thank you, lady!"

Astonished, the female assistant couldn't believe how intelligent and well-mannered the little girl was. "This little one is not easily fooled!" She thought. Though she didn't have any ill intentions.

Finally seeing a trash can in the corner after looking around, Yvette trotted over and began eating her snack, standing there.

Her running naturally captured quite a few attention; some even took their phones out to record.

"Goodness, what a well-mannered child. She's such an adorable little angel!"noveldrama

"I know, right! She may be dressed in luxury brands, but she's quite fastidious. Her parents taught her well. She already knows not to litter and not cause other people trouble at such a young age!"

"Yeah! She also just sat there quietly and did not disturb the adults! Whose child is this, really? How can the parents just leave such an adorable angel here, all alone? Aren't they worried they might lose her or something?"

"Wow, what a good girl! I really like her!"

"Look, the dog plushie she's holding is so cute! The word 'Mr.' is embroidered onto it. How interesting. Those who don't know might think she's here to look for her husband!"

"Yeah! I didn't even notice it. The makers sure are careless. Why did they embroider that word?"

As soon as Willy came to the lobby, he saw a little girl standing next to a trash can, eating a piece of cake and catching the crumbs with one hand while a crowd gathered in the distance. A gorgeous little girl, beautiful with a hint of pity, stood by the trash can all alone, and Willy recognized her at first glance.

That little witch!

His gaze landed on the toy poodle plushie she clipped under her arm as he strode to her. Noticing the embroidery, he looked back at the girl, and his gaze widened, blood frozen in an instant.

Could she be... Lauren's daughter?

He must be dreaming. Moving forward, Willy squatted down right as he got to the little girl who could possibly be his daughter and looked straight at the plushie in her arms.

As their eyes met, Yvette frowned, having some cake in her mouth. Bad man?

Willy wanted to grab the plushie to check the word half covered by her little arm, only for her to take a step back before he could even touch it.

She snapped, "Don't steal my dog! My mommy said no one can touch it except for my daddy! My daddy is the greatest here. Touch, and I'll have my daddy fire you!"

Willy's tears fell the instant he heard her 'threat'.

His daughter!

This little girl was his daughter, Lauren and his...

So it turned out he and Lauren had such a gorgeous daughter. She was already so big and so healthy!

"What's your name?" Inexplicably excited, he didn't dare move closer to her in fear of scaring her, but he couldn't help choking with sobs.

"I won't tell you!" Yvette said snobbishly, clearly unfriendly toward him.

"Aren't you here to look for your daddy? How can I help you if you don't tell me? I know everyone here..." Willy cajoled, but his heart was bleeding then.

His daughter. He couldn't believe the little girl he had met a few times and even carried in his arms was actually his daughter!

Willy smiled and cried, emotional beyond words.

Yvette thought for a moment, looking to be in a dilemma, before she said softly, "Yvette Luther!"

"Lu-Luther?"

Her last name was really Luther! She took her mother's maiden name! But even if he had known her last name was Luther, he probably would've thought she took Elijah's last name if she hadn't come looking for him, would he?

Oh, how wrong everything was!

"Yvette, Yvette, Yvie..." Yew; immense strength! Wonderful name!

Willy's tears then fell like a never-ending waterfall as he mumbled, "Yvette? Tevye? Yvette? William?"

So her stage name came from

Yvette! Apart from meaning

immense strength, it probably also

derived from his name, meaning

resolute protector, didn't it? This little one, his daughter, his baby girl!

"Do you really know my daddy? Can you... Can you take me to him?"

Hearing her soft plea, seeing the hope and expectation in her eyes, then noticing the cake crumbs on the corner of her mouth, and she was still standing next to the trash

can, Willy felt as though his heart was wrenched to the extreme. He took a step forward and suddenly hugged her.

"Yvette, I'm your daddy!"

However, Yvette suddenly threw punches at him, flailing. "You're lying. You're not my daddy! You're not! You're a bad man. You're not my daddy!"

"Then did your mommy tell you your daddy's name?"

Hearing that, Yvette held the plushie close to her, "What's your name then?"

Willy! Willy Bowles!"

Willy said word by word, slowly and clearly, for fear she couldn't make out what he said. But the next second, she bawled and threw the plushie at

him.

"You're not my daddy!"
