Willow didn't want to talk about these things in front of the children. It wasn't good for them as their development would be affected.

Even so, Lara was the kind who would press on until she got to the bottom of things.

Willow sighed. "Mom, we cannot force anyone to take up responsibilities if it's not their own will to do so. I think we're doing quite alright. I feel happy that we're united as a family."

"Happy? You're already 27, and nobody wants to date you. Look at Samantha. She has a rich boyfriend. Her mother said she's about to get married. She'll have someone to look after her and love her. Meanwhile, you'll still be alone. You also have an entire family to look after."

Lara never seemed to get tired of talking about this.

"I have people who love me too. You, my beloved mother, and my four children, all love me a lot." Willow chuckled while pinching Hailey's soft cheeks.noveldrama

Hailey hugged Willow in return. "I love you the most, Mommy," she said softly.

Lilith also moved closer to hug Willow's leg, rubbing her face against it as she did so. "That's right. We love Mommy the mostest."

Lilith was the youngest child. There were some words she still could not pronounce accurately. "You mean the most," Willow corrected.

Seeing this lovely scene made it impossible for Lara to display her anger despite wanting to do so. Regardless of how angry she felt, the children's adorable behavior overpowered all else.

Lara sighed in defeat. "You should learn from Samantha by planning ahead in your own life."

"Mom, everyone's life is different. Comparisons aren't necessary. Besides, why should I learn from Samantha? I'm me, and I'm one-of-a-kind. I don't want to become anybody else."

Willow tried to reason with Lara.

Lara had not seen how vicious Samantha could be and the evil things she was capable of.

Wouldn't Willow become a bad person if she learned from Samantha?

"Alright, alright. You're one-of-a-kind. I cannot reason with you. I'll look for your boss later." Lara waved dismissively.

The problem wasn't with Willow but her boss. Nothing Lara said to Willow would change anything She might as well go directly to Willow's boss and hash things out.

Willow was surprised by what Lara said. "Mom, don't act rashly. The guy isn't our boss. You've got it wrong."

Lara rolled her eyes. "I know what I'm doing. Eat your noodles."

Willow's boss had given them a villa!

Was Willow still trying to lie to her?

Nobody would act in such an altruistic manner. Jasper definitely had feelings for Willow, and he wanted to date her. However he still looked down on her.

Clearly, he wanted to play with her feelings without taking up any responsibility. Lara was determined to get an explanation from him.

Willow turned around. After taking & bite of her food, she suddenly thought of an important question. She looked at Lara. "Where are Tristan and Julian?"

Lara smacked her thigh. "Oh, dear. I left them at the playground."

While speaking, Lara quickly went out to look for them.

Hailey opened her eyes wide and looked at Willow before blinking twice. "Did Grandma drink too much Red Bull?" She asked softly.

"Pfft." Willow chuckled out loud.

Hailey's words caught Willow off guard. She truly was adorable and funny.

Willow quickly wiped her mouth with some tissue. She then gently ruffled Hailey's hair. "Don't worry. Your brothers will be fine."

Tristan and Julian had always been independent kids. They were also much more mature than other children their age.
